What we bake
The board on the counter changes every day, and it’s on our Facebook by seven. This is what we always have.
What we always have
- White tin loaf The one most of the town buys.
- Wholemeal tin Same tin, brown flour, a bit more chew.
- The Two Rivers sourdough Baked Wednesday and Saturday.
- A seeded loaf Wholemeal with sunflower, linseed and sesame through it and on top.
- Bread rolls White or wholemeal, six to a bag.
- Mince and cheese pies, steak pies, a vegetable pie Ros makes the pastry.
- Sausage rolls Flaky pastry, plenty of filling, nothing clever.
- Cheese scones Big, with the cheese on top gone crisp.
- Date scones The warm ones go with the coffee.
- Custard squares Thick custard, thin icing, the cabinet’s regular.
- Afghans Cornflakes, cocoa, chocolate icing and a walnut on top.
- A fruit loaf on Fridays One bake, Friday only.
Sold out means sold out. We bake once.
Prices are on the board.
Why there is no menu here
A menu on a website goes stale the day something changes, and something changes most days. So the website carries the things that are always true, and the board on the counter carries the rest.
If you want to know what’s on today, look at our Facebook after seven, or come in.
