A Freehold showcase. This business is fictional. The bar along the bottom tracks this site’s features as you scroll; each is something you can ask for on your own build. Every build is bespoke: this shows the range, not a template.

Two of us

Dan and Kiri. Both registered, both based in Amberley, both on the end of the same number.

Dan

I’ve been on the tools for nineteen years. The first six were with a big commercial crew in the city, doing the same floor of the same building for months at a time. I moved back north the week I got my registration and have been doing houses and farms ever since. You meet the person, you fix the thing, and you see them at the store on Saturday, which keeps you honest.

Rewires and switchboards are my end of it. If your board is older than your kids, I’d like a look at it.

Kiri

Twelve years registered. I trained on a rural crew up north, so pump sheds and dairy sheds were my first jobs, not something I picked up later. I moved to Amberley in 2019 and started with Dan the year after.

I do most of the EV charger points and the heat pump wiring, and I’m usually the one who answers the phone from the van. If I say I’ll be there at eight, I mean eight.

Why two vans

One of us is always free for the job that can’t wait. With two vans the planned job and the emergency don’t have to fight over one person, so a pump shed that has gone quiet in October gets someone the same day and the kitchen rewire we promised still happens.

It also means that if you booked one of us and got the other, you get the same work. We check each other’s boards before the CoC goes out.

We say “we” on this site because there are two of us. There is no office and nobody answering the phone but us.

A generated picture of a closed galvanised farm gate in a wire fence, with dry paddock and low brown hills behind it.
A computer made this picture. It is the district, not our work and not our gate.
A generated picture of pale snow tussock stirring in a light breeze, seen close.
A computer made this one and it moves, barely, the way tussock does in a nor’wester.

One number for both vans. If one of us is on a job, the other one picks up.

Every photograph of a finished job on this site is a generated placeholder, marked as one on the image, standing where a real firm’s own photos would go. The wider pictures of the district are generated too, and each one says so in its own caption; none of them is a photo of a job. The phone number and email are masked. The place names are real; the firm, the two electricians and the four trades who vouch for them are not.
